Ellis Croom is a traveling salesman who is overbearing and obnoxious--and none too honest. 

He carries several secrets with him.

Polly Pullman--a nice, young woman who is a resident on the Blue Goose. 

She means well, but be careful of her temper!

Thaddeus P. Cornstall has been the Conductor on the Blue Goose for a long time. 

Changes in his routine make him VERY nervous.

Elliott King is a wannabe Pinkerten man

and hopes that his zeal will overshadow the past he leaves behind.
